Our rangatahi have never felt more apathetic about their future. They’re bed-rotting. They’re doom-scrolling. They’re quiet-quitting. Not exactly a great starting point to recruit for a self development course - or is it?
Frustration is as powerful an emotion as any - if deployed with direction.
First, we gave voice to real Gen-Z whose collective disempowerment, voiced by their floating heads, demands a solution. Ultimately, setting the scene to drop an unignorable call to arms - Become A Weapon. An invitation to fight back against disempowerment by building yourself stronger in the deep Anakiwa bush, away from the algorithms, AI slop and noise.
@The Weapons Catalogue is a 19-part film archive, designed for social, that explores the multifaceted disillusionment of Gen Z. A conversation space for real voices that dissecting topics from the tyranny of self-care to self-imposed surveillance, racism to the manosphere, anxiety to the aesthetic of activism – signalling growing dissent and a collective desire to fortify themselves despite living in a world in slow-motion collapse.
